The is a region where cars and truck is king and fuel is low-cost, often leaving little incentive to find more environmentally-friendly methods of walking around.

But this year, as demonstrations across the Middle East have actually risen the cost of oil, the issue of finding alternative sources of fuel has entered sharp focus.

In an area that has one of the highest carbon footprints on the planet, one service is taking advantage of the growing pressure to discover options to oil. It's established the Middle East's first scheme to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's showing lucrative too, already their client-list includes McDonald's.
